Supporting you through life's changes
Welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker with two decades of experience helping individuals and families cope with challenges related to life transitions, aging, memory loss, caregiving, grief, and loss. My approach is relational, person-centered and direct. My role is to hold space for you to feel your feelings, and to work with you on the change you seek. Please take a moment to learn more about how I can support you.
Areas of Expertise
I specialize in helping people navigate challenges related to aging, serious medical diagnoses, caregiving, grief & loss, and other life transitions and circumstances.
Aging involves transitions of all sorts. For example, retirement or a move may provoke anxiety and depression. Illness or cognitive changes may overwhelm us with a sense of a loss of control.
Serious medical diagnoses—such as Mild Cognitive Impairment, dementia due to Alzheimer's Disease, or other forms of dementia—can change your life overnight.
Giving care to a parent, spouse, or loved one with a dementia diagnosis can feel all-consuming and isolating.
Grief is a normal reaction to a loss, but the pain can feel intolerable. Therapy can help you process the loss of a loved one, as well as the other, less obvious losses felt during the many changes that come with aging and caregiving.
Life Transitions can change or impact your life in significant ways. We all experience transitions throughout our lives, yet they can be challenging (even the exciting ones!) and cause feelings of stress, anxiety or depression.
